This unit is one of the units under the governance of the Laboratory of Climate-Smart Food Crop Production, Institute of Tropical Agriculture and Food Security (ITAFoS). It is located at Unit of Agrotech Fertigation, University Agriculture (TPU), UPM and is managed totally by Prof. Dr. Rafii bin Mohd Yusof as Head of Laboratory.
There are 20 units of rainshelter equipped with a full irrigation system for fertigation for research and students practical training to produce the optimum fruit and vegetables. Among the plants that fit for fertigation is chili, rock melon, tomato, cucumber, strawberries and grapes.
Among research conducted here is compost, medium plants, bacteria, foliar spray fertilizer and so on.
